
eBay and Craiglist have listings that offer “sensitive,” stolen and illegal-to-export military items to anyone worldwide, “NO QUESTIONS ASKED,” according to a congressional investigative organization. Any person with a credit card can buy night-vision goggles, F-14 fighter jet parts, chemical weapons protection gear, Kevlar vests, flak jackets and more, according to a new report from the Government Accountability Office. Investigators also purchased military stolen goods that were sold for personal profit. The Defense Department regards sale of certain items issued to military personnel, such as body armor, theft of government property.
